Amazing Spider-Man #10 was decent. I really love the idea of the support group where they all gather in a safe place to be able to express themselves. I’ll say it again that the Black Cat personality seemed off from the books I’ve read in the past few years. Still it was really smart at the end with her confrontation with Spidey about how she was missing elements in her memory and that she was incomplete. Peter revealing his identity to her at the end and then letting MJ know was what really made this issue though.
Daredevil #612 was going really strong and then… what the hell? So this has all been a dream sequence. How far back does this dream sequence go? I really feel cheated on this, and I’m not pleased with the ending. Well, this is the end for DD, and I know he won’t be back for a couple of months until they want to onboard new readers with a fresh start. I’m sure they will do it faster than what they plan when they see sails drop. I mean you don’t buy a book that doesn’t have the character in it that you are buying the book for.
Heroes in Crisis #3 was good, laying in some background to the sanctuary and the therapy that certain characters were undergoing before they were killed. I know some critics are not loving this story or they feel that Booster is portrayed completely wrong, but I would disagree. Or at least Kings version of Booster makes me actually want to read about him rather than be simply annoyed with him. I look forward to the next issue.
Old Man Hawkeye #11 (of 12) despite the artwork being weak, the story was a bit forced. This has been a great read and yes this does help contribute to the overall storyline, but the dialogue felt lifeless. The concept and the ending was a great idea, with Zemo being a cripple in the end and Hawkeye bent on vengeance turning his back on distributing punishment. Of course he obviously has a change of heart with the shot of Zemo riddled with arrows.
Return Of Wolverine #3 (of 5) is so bad. The artwork is horrible, the story is boring. I’ve pretty much said this from the start. I don’t know why I feel the need to continue reading this. It’s just a disaster.
X-O Manowar #21 was a great story. The artwork and story are solid. I’m really glad that the stories are starting to strengthen the supporting cast and actually make us care more about them.
